As some might know, I had the issue where my minecraft would crash the second I tried logging onto CCMC or any 1.10 server.
I tried updating my JAVA, deleting and re-installing Minecraft, restarting my laptop, and so on and so forth but nothing helped.
And I noticed after listening to @jflory7 's ramble and other players that it's not a uncommon thing for the time being! So I decided if someone have issues with logging on, it wont hurt to try this!
I realised that with the update, it also turned on some settings that I didnt have on previously.
(No, it has nothing to do with optifine or bad laptops ;) )

    What worked for me:

    > Increase allocated RAM from 1GB to 2GB (only applicable to 64 bit users) <
In the Edit Profile menu in the Launcher, check the JVM Arguments box, and change the -Xmx1G argument to -Xmx2G

    > Change Video Settings in-game (Options -> Video Settings) <
    - Disable VBOs.

Minecraft uses a self-contained java that is not dependent on whatever is installed on your computer. Though you can go into the .minecraft folders and manually update the java version to whatever you want.
